Technology’s Role in the Classroom

In today’s world, technology is imperative. Technology allows students to learn in ways that were never conceivable in the past. Students use technology on a daily basis in both courses that I teach at MSUM (COMM 365 and COMM 352). In my social media class (COMM 352), students are taught how to properly run an ad campaign on various social media platforms. Each day during class, students have time to use technology to gain a better understanding of social media. In my Media Planning class (COMM 365), students are required to download slides from a PowerPoint presentation and study it for their quizzes. In addition, it is mandatory for students to create a presentation through the technology of their choice at the end of the semester. Overall, technology is a driving force for both of my classes.
